RE: linux installation problems
Hi,

I am having this exact same problem. Is this because the Linux installation file is corrupt? I am operating on a dual boot with Windows 7 as my other. I am thinking I may go back and work on the install in Windows 7.

Has anyone succeeded in installing the program on Linux lately?

linux installation problems
Hi,

since I am working on Ubuntu as Linux distribution, I am not being able to install this tool on my machine.

Whenever I try to launch, by shell command, OpenFTA.bin, I have following message:

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Preparing to install...
Extracting the JRE from the installer archive...
Unpacking the JRE...

gzip: /tmp/install.dir.13840/Linux/resource/vm.tar.Z: corrupt input. Use zcat to recover some data.

gzip: /tmp/install.dir.13840/Linux/resource/vm.tar.Z: corrupt input. Use zcat to recover some data.
The included VM could not be uncompressed (GZIP/UNCOMPRESS). Please try to
download the installer again and make sure that you download using 'binary'
mode. Please do not attempt to install this currently downloaded copy.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Whether I try to launch "./OpenFTA.sh " from bin folder, the system does not find the FTAGUI.OpenFTA class.

Where am I failing?

I hope that you can help me.
